The reception of citizens should be conducted without formalism - V. Andreichenko

March 3, Ushaсhi / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. Holding receptions for citizens is an important form of working with the population, during which formalism must be avoided. Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, shared this opinion with a BELTA correspondent after holding a reception for residents of the Ushaсhi district. In order to get a full and objective picture of the work of local authorities with the population, it is necessary to plan, along with holding receptions for citizens, meetings with work collectives. "This practice makes it possible to feel the situation in the region, to understand how the issues that concern local residents are being resolved," Vladimir Andreichenko noted. At the same time, the speaker does not entirely welcome the practice of some officials holding direct telephone lines. "1-2 hours are allocated for this, although often one person needs to be given quite a lot of time to understand the problem and provide specific assistance," Vladimir Andreichenko believes. Working with the population requires constant live communication, and then this form of work becomes very productive. In the practice of the deputy corps, there are many examples when, after receptions of citizens, deputies bring interesting ideas from the field and use them in legislative work, Vladimir Andreichenko added. In general, the reception of residents of the Ushaсhi district showed that the local executive committee is seriously engaged in solving citizens' problems. The raised problems are of a practical nature and will be gradually resolved, the speaker assured. For example, several appeals concerned the gasification of housing, and this issue is characteristic of many regions and is being resolved rapidly, Vladimir Andreichenko noted. -0-
