Foster mothers from Liozno created a trade union primary organization

A primary trade union organization of foster mothers has been established in the Liozno district, joining the ranks of the Liozno district committee of the trade union of education and science workers. The initiator of the primary organization's creation was foster mother Nina Vasilievna Koroleva.

According to Nina Vasilievna, a foster mother is much more than just a teacher. She not only provides children with living and learning conditions, when a child has their own room, clothes, and toys, but she is primarily a MOTHER... There is nothing more generous, tender, and important than a mother's instinct...

- We are not replacing their parents, - says Nina Vasilievna. - At the current stage, we are their parents. Foster mothers have their own specific problems and peculiarities of work, so we have united to solve them together, collectively. Was it difficult to work on creating the primary trade union organization? Not difficult. All the women voted unanimously.

"Recently, trade unions have become more noticeable," Nina Vasilievna continues. "Trade union life in the district has become more active. Many different campaigns and events are being held, and our small organization did not want to be left out. By the way, we are the first trade union organization of foster mothers in the republic! There are 15 of us in total."

A collective agreement has already been concluded within the primary organization. In addition to general provisions, it provides for the possibility of material incentives for women who take on not one or two children for upbringing, but more. You must agree, there is a difference if you have one child or three or four. And the established payment system in the state does not allow, unfortunately, to differentiate salaries based on the number of children. Everyone is paid the same!

Foster mothers in Liozno now have the opportunity to restore justice in this matter. And although there are not many such families in the district yet, with 4 or more children in their care, all of them, including the chairperson of the primary organization N.V. Koroleva, who has

four foster boys will receive additional bonuses thanks to the trade union.

There is hope that the creation of a trade union organization will not only help solve pressing problems but also make the lives of foster mothers interesting and diverse!
