Citizens' receptions help officials stay informed about pressing public issues - V. Vashchenko
April 6, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Citizens' receptions help officials stay informed about people's pressing problems. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by the Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus Vladimir Vashchenko, who held a personal reception of citizens in Vitebsk.
"Such receptions are very important. They help to know people's sentiments, to be aware of their pressing problems," the minister said. Often, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations become participants in such meetings. "The issues raised sometimes need to be resolved on the spot," Vladimir Vashchenko added. "Therefore, among other things, such events provide an opportunity to understand where our local commanders are not working effectively, to help resolve the situation, and in some cases, to hold them accountable."
Representatives of the homeowners' association of the building at 5 Gagarin Street, commissioned several years ago, visited the minister's reception today. Throughout this entire period, the association has not been able to obtain the necessary documentation for the house from the developer, ODO "StroyDomInvest," for its registration with the relevant city service organizations. The reason for this is serious deficiencies and violations during the construction of the facility. Vladimir Vashchenko promised to look into the situation. "We will try to do everything that is possible for us," he said. -0-
