Shares of 31 enterprises belonging to the Vitebsk region are offered for sale in 2020

Shares of 31 enterprises owned by the Vitebsk region are offered for sale at auctions or through tender in 2020, the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee reported.

The offer to participate in privatization for potential investors remained at the 2019 level, both in terms of joint-stock companies whose securities are included in the list, and in terms of the number of shares and the conditions for their sale.

Primarily, this involves the sale of securities packages ranging from 25% to 50% minus 1 share of the charter capital of Open Joint-Stock Companies (OJSC). At the same time, the number of securities offered for sale may be increased by a decision of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee if buyers provide substantiated proposals or business plans. In this way, the Vitebsk region is ready to sell its shares in 24 OJSCs, including Evistor Plant, Vitebskobllеn, Orsha Construction Materials Plant, Zapadno-Dvinny Mezhrayagrotekhservis, Vitebsk Khoztorg, Znamya Industrializatsii, Vitebsk Motor Repair Plant, Postavyfurniture, Vitebsk Construction Trust No. 9, Obol Ceramic Plant.

In addition, the Vitebsk region is ready to exit the share capital of seven OJSCs by selling its wholly-owned shares in the charter capitals of ATEK (35.15%), Vitebsktorghstroy (38.81%), Zhilstroy (1.4%), Eton Plant (17.61%), Vitrembyt (99.88%), Keramika (26.47%), Vitebsk Instrument-Making Plant (60.89%). Of these, shares in two enterprises (Vitrembyt and Vitebsk Instrument-Making Plant) are offered for sale through tender.

It is expected that the sale of securities will be organized through the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange. The first auction for the sale of a package of shares of Zhilstroy OJSC is scheduled for January 29. The starting price of the share package (almost 1.9 thousand securities), set at market value as of July 1, 2019, exceeds Br114.6 thousand. The sale of assets using the trading platform of the exchange provides an opportunity to attract a wide range of potential buyers both domestically and internationally, noted specialists from Vitebsk Regional Property Committee.
