A decision has been made to allocate the third tranche of the loan from the Anti-Crisis Fund of EurAsEC to Belarus

June 1, Minsk /BelTA/. A decision has been made to allocate the next, third, tranche of the loan from the Anti-Crisis Fund of EurAsEC to Belarus, and negotiations on the allocation of the fourth tranche are beginning. This was announced on May 31 by Russian President Vladimir Putin to journalists following a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA correspondent reports. "We noted with satisfaction that it is expedient and possible to do this, given the positive dynamics that the Belarusian economy is gaining. And the volumes of trade turnover also speak about this. This year, the growth of trade turnover is almost 30% - this is a serious indicator," Vladimir Putin emphasized. In his opinion, this indicates that the integration processes gaining momentum between the three states - Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan - are making themselves known in the most positive way. "We reaffirmed that the cooperation strategy was chosen absolutely correctly, and agreed not to slow down the pace in the transition to a qualitatively new stage of integration - the Eurasian Economic Union," the Russian President emphasized. He also noted that a significant return is expected from the implementation of joint projects in the fields of energy, mechanical engineering, and advanced technologies. According to him, in this context, the project for the construction of the Belarusian NPP is of particular importance, which has every chance to become the largest and most modern project in the history of bilateral relations.-0-
