International Student Slavic Forum!
I cordially welcome you to the opening of a new international inter-university youth project, which launches the festival of friendship and youth of Slavic states!
Vitebsk is rightfully considered a student city – over 20 thousand young people study in higher and secondary specialized institutions. The Northern capital of Belarus has accumulated experience in international cooperation in scientific, educational, and cultural spheres: conferences, plein airs, exhibitions, creative exchanges are constantly held, and joint projects are developed. The International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" annually brings together representatives from many countries in the name of peace and mutual understanding.
The youth of Belarus and Russia are actively embracing the ideas of building a Union State, defending the ideals of democracy and civil society, remembering the past, and caring for the future of the Fatherland.
The International Student Slavic Forum launches projects that will be implemented on sports and creative platforms in Vitebsk and Smolensk. Undoubtedly, this contributes to the creation of a unified cultural space, the development of interethnic and interstate contacts, and the formation of favorable conditions for the realization of the scientific, creative, and sports potential of youth.
I am confident that the forum will expand its borders, attracting an increasing number of participants from different countries, will take its rightful place in the festival city of Vitebsk, and will gain recognition far beyond the Dvina region.
Today, it is important to understand that the active civic stance of the youth of our countries is the key to the successful future of fraternal peoples and the acceleration of integration processes.
