Greeting from the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee N.N. Sherstnev
Dear friends!
In the year of the 70th anniversary of the Victory over the Nazi invaders in the Great Patriotic War, in the Year of Youth, Vitebsk region warmly welcomes guests and participants of the XXIV
International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". The forum of arts traditionally confirms the high status of an interstate cultural event, the motto of which is "Through art – to peace and mutual understanding".Within the framework of the festival, more than 100 events have been organized, 18 of which are bright, memorable concerts on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater.
The celebration of Youth Day will be significant, which will bring together representatives of the best dance groups, creative associations, and youth subcultures for the celebration. At the open festival venues of the city, the street art fest "On Seven Winds" will be held for the first time, where puppet theater actors, amateur and professional performers, poets, and musicians will show their talent. We welcome representatives from 41 countries of the world to Vitebsk. A record number of applications were received for participation in the children's and adult competitions: national qualifying rounds were held in 12 countries, through which 430 performers passed. It is wonderful that interest in the International Music Competition is growing from year to year.
The formula for the success of "Slavianski Bazaar" lies in the organizers seeking and discovering new facets of multifaceted Slavic art, thereby creating a unique spiritual image for the creative forum.
May an atmosphere of cordiality and hospitality prevail at the festival! I wish its participants and guests health, excellent spirits, and bright and unforgettable impressions.
Once again, we joyfully say: welcome, festival, and may your journey be prosperous!
Sincerely,
Nikolai Shershnev,
Chairman
of the Vitebsk Regional
Executive Committee
