Dear residents of Vitebsk region!

Dear agricultural workers of the Dvina region!

According to an established tradition, we annually summarize the results of work in the grain fields. The Tolochin district is hosting guests and participants of the festival of agricultural workers of the Vitebsk region "Dazhynki - 2015".

This year, the region has harvested a good crop of grain, flax, potatoes, vegetables, and corn. The agricultural producers of the Dvina region harvested 1 million 440 thousand tons of grain, including from farms and personal subsidiary plots, which is the best result in the history of the region over the last 40 years. For the first time, the average yield in Vitebsk region reached 36.6 centners per hectare. The obtained results indicate that by combining a scientific approach to agriculture, the practical ingenuity of rural residents, and the proper organization of labor, new heights can be achieved in agricultural production. The potential of the northern region of the country is high and far from exhausted.

Our task is to increase the profitability of production, achieve self-sufficiency, and enhance the competitiveness of agricultural products in both domestic and foreign markets. Such approaches will make life in rural areas more attractive.

Workers of industrial enterprises and institutions in the cities are helping with the harvest to address food security challenges. I want to express sincere words of gratitude to the rural workers, townspeople, students, schoolchildren, heads of organizations, meliorators, and forestry workers. ”Dazhynki“ is an important socio-cultural project that instills a love for the land, promotes order and improvement of settlements. Respect for the labor of grain growers is the foundation upon which the Belarusian people, our culture and spirituality exist.

We express our gratitude to the builders for their coordinated and effective work. The renewed Tolochin, filled with light and joy, warmly welcomes guests.
