Greetings from the leadership of the Vitebsk region to guests and participants of the regional festival-fair of agricultural workers "Dazhynki - 2019" in Braslav
Dear residents and workers of the region's villages!
This year, the Braslav district is hosting the guests and participants of the regional festival-fair of village workers "Dazhynki - 2019". According to tradition, we are summing up the results of work in the grain fields.
The region's agrarians have honorably and with dignity passed the exam and, under difficult weather conditions, threshed a million tons of grain in all categories of farms. The state procurement plan for grain has been fulfilled, and a good foundation has been created for the production of agro-industrial complex products.
The Orsha and Vitebsk districts made a significant contribution to the regional harvest: their threshing amounted to 119 and 100 thousand tons of grain, respectively. Compared to last year, the gross harvest in the region increased by 1.3 times, and the yield increased by 4.7 centners per hectare, averaging 29.8 centners per hectare.
All areas were sown within optimal agro-technical terms, and the areas under grain and leguminous crops increased by 9 percent compared to last year. The focus is on strict adherence to all elements of production technology, the introduction of high-yielding varieties, and progressive methods.
"Dazhynki" allows us to summarize the results of the daily intensive work of rural workers, processing and service organizations, farmers, specialists, managers, agricultural scientists, veterans of agricultural production, and youth. We want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone on whom the final result in obtaining agricultural products depends.
This important socially significant and socio-cultural project instills love and respect for the land and labor, and contributes to the improvement of order and the beautification of settlements. We thank the builders and utility services for their coordinated and effective work. Braslav, the pearl of the Belarusian Poozerye, has been transformed and improved. It is important that during the preparation for the holiday, special attention is paid to social facilities. This is a real gift for the residents of the district center, guests, and tourists who love to visit the Braslav Lakes.
