Greetings from the leadership of the Vitebsk region to the guests and participants of the regional festival-fair of agricultural workers "Dazhynki - 2021"
Dear residents and workers of the region's villages!
This year, the Shumilino district is hosting the guests and participants of the regional festival-fair of village workers "Dazhynki - 2021". Following the established tradition, we are summing up the results of the intensive work in the grain fields. Growing and harvesting a crop is a complex task, the solution of which is possible only for a cohesive, competent team, true managers, masters with experience and new knowledge, hardworking people with patient characters.
In this year's harvest, which was very challenging due to weather conditions, the agrarians of the Vitebsk region have grown and gathered a worthy harvest - 780 thousand tons of grain have been harvested, with an average yield of 25.6 centners per hectare.
Half of the harvested crop was formed by the Orsha district, which surpassed the hundred-thousand mark in threshing, as well as the Vitebsk, Tolochin, Dubrovno, and Verkhnedvinsk districts.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to all the heroes of the harvest, those who, with their hands, skills, and selfless labor, produce Belarusian gold, which is bread.
Processing and service organizations, specialists and scientists, veterans of the agro-industrial complex, and youth also contribute to the region's common harvest.
"Dazhynki" is an important socio-cultural project that instills love and respect for the land and labor, and contributes to the improvement and beautification of our cities.
In preparation for the holiday, the urban-type settlement of Shumilino has been transformed and has shone with new colors. We also thank the builders and utility services for their coordinated and effective work.
