Masherov Memory Run to gather about 1,000 participants in Senno
The marathon will take place for the 31st time and will gather about 1,000 participants from various districts of the Vitebsk region. Traditionally, running enthusiasts from other regions of Belarus and Russia also come to participate. The distances that organizers offer to cover through the city streets and its surroundings are designed for any level of fitness: 1 km, 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km. The latter two are for adult runners only. In the others, children from seven years old (7-9 years old - only 1 km) and teenagers can compete in various age categories. For the youngest - up to 6 years old - a 200-meter race and a sweet prize for the will to win are provided for every child who completes it. This year, about a hundred preschoolers are expected at this start.
The mass run will begin at 11:00 AM from the central square of Senno. After lunch, there will be an award ceremony for participants, a concert program, various thematic interactive areas will be open, and a cartoon screening is planned at the district cultural center.
The main organizer of the event is the Senno District Executive Committee.
