The collection of coins for the monument "Living Memory of Grateful Generations" in the Vitebsk region continues

Продолжается сбор монет для памятника «Живая память благодарных поколений» в Витебской области
Deputies, representatives of the Belarusian "Belaya Rus" Party, bloggers, and students from educational institutions in Vitebsk have joined the project of the Alexey Talay Charitable Foundation, contributing metal currency to the coin collection box. These coins will be used in the alloy for the commemorative sign "Living Memory of Grateful Generations."

The patriotic campaign took place at the "Marko-City" business center, where the coin collection box is located on the ground floor. Incidentally, there are over a thousand such containers in the Vitebsk region.

Dmitry Demidov, Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies and member of the supreme political council of the Belarusian "Belaya Rus" Party, was one of the first to contribute to the box with Soviet and modern coins, noting that this campaign has a very deep spiritual meaning and unites generations.

– The current generation, by collecting coins, thanks their ancestors for the heroism they displayed during the Great Patriotic War, for defending the freedom and independence of our country. By dropping coins into the box, we are giving a piece of our soul, and Soviet coins also convey the energy of our parents who worked for the good of the Motherland, – emphasized Dmitry Demidov. – It is gratifying that children from kindergartens, students from schools, colleges, and universities have joined the campaign, which started in our region in October 2023. In this way, they have connected with their family history, as children told their parents, grandparents about the campaign. The collected coins have already been used to create the people's monuments "Living Memory of Grateful Generations" in Minsk and Brest, and this year they will become part of the memorial to be erected on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow.

The head of the deputy corps also stressed that the coin collection is nearing its end. The Vitebsk region is one of the most active participants in the campaign. Alexey Talay will take part in the finale of the charitable project on April 2nd, the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, at VSU named after P. Masherov.
