"The products are in high demand, the technologies are advanced". Gryzlov visited enterprises in the Orsha district
The Ambassador visited the Orsha Tool Plant, the flax mill, and the Krasny Borеts machine-tool plant. He noted that this was his third visit to the Vitebsk region and named the desire to familiarize himself with the work of local enterprises as the purpose of the current trip.
"It is very important that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, they managed to preserve competencies in machine tool construction here. This is fundamentally important. I understand how many difficulties there were in retaining specialists, but they were retained. And today, the order portfolio of the Krasny Borеts plant is formed for two years in advance. The products are in high demand, the technologies are advanced, 80% of the manufactured products are supplied to the Russian Federation, so this is the plant with which Russia maintains the closest contact," Boris Gryzlov noted after visiting Krasny Borеts.
Speaking about the Orsha Flax Mill, the Russian Ambassador drew attention to the fact that it is necessary to restore flax sowing volumes today. "Flax is what was one of the main export items of Tsarist Russia," he emphasized. "These are highly sought-after products. The flax mill itself is high-tech. The team here works with pleasure because social issues are maximally addressed. As for the tool plant, the tools manufactured there are in high demand, including in the field of machine tool construction."
The visit to the enterprises of the Orsha district left the diplomat with the best impressions. "There is optimism and an understanding that the enterprises of the Vitebsk region have the opportunity to interact with the Russian Federation, and all this will be in demand," Boris Gryzlov concluded.
