A project to improve the work of the employment service is being implemented in the Vitebsk region with the Swedish side
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed back in 2015. The main goal of bilateral meetings and seminars is to exchange experience and information on the state of the labor market, forecasts and contacts with employers, as well as to strengthen and develop international cooperation.
– Sweden has been implementing similar projects for 30 years, including with many former republics of the USSR. In Belarus, we successfully cooperate not only with the Vitebsk region, but also with Grodno, and Minsk, – said Project Manager Per Lindberg, – and if there are 800 people working in the Belarusian employment service system, then in Sweden there are 14 thousand employees. We are happy to share our developments and methods with our partners.
The head of the delegation of the Swedish Public Employment Service noted the work of his Belarusian colleagues and assessed the project as successful. It will be implemented until June 2019. The work will proceed in various directions, in particular, during the current visit, the initiative "Information and Communication Strategy of the Employment Service" was launched.
Also, Per Lindberg and Kristina David, a specialist from the Swedish Public Employment Service, familiarized themselves with the forms of interaction between the HR services of enterprises and organizations of the Vitebsk region and the Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Regional Executive Committee.
