The draft program for the socio-economic development of Belarus defines its place in the future - a participant of the IV All-Belarusian People's Congress
December 3, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The draft program for the socio-economic development of Belarus for 2011-2015 sets specific tasks, defines development directions, and ultimately determines the country's place in the future. This opinion was expressed in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent by Sergey Zhagolkin, Deputy General Director of OAO Keramika, and a deputy of the Vitebsk City Council, who was elected as a participant in the IV All-Belarusian People's Congress.
"My work biography and deputy activities are connected with people, with discussing and solving their problems, so I can confidently say that life in the country is reaching a new level, and the quality in many of its spheres is improving," noted Sergey Zhagolkin. Sergey Zhagolkin considers his participation in a large-scale people's forum, where the prospective program for the country's socio-economic development for the next five-year period is to be approved, as a huge responsibility to the employees of his enterprise and his constituents. The draft program, the main provisions of which the deputy actively discussed during numerous meetings in the work collectives of the enterprises in his electoral district, outlines the main directions of the country's development, defines priorities, and sets specific tasks, the implementation of which will allow the country to reach a higher level. "We will be able to reach the planned milestones only through joint efforts, becoming a single creative force," is confident Sergey Zhagolkin.
The activities of the work collective of OAO Keramika, which he represents, also add to Sergey Zhagolkin's confidence in the implementation of the planned plans. Significant transformations have taken place at the enterprise over the past five years. The conscientious work of each employee allowed the enterprise to receive the government prize for achievements in quality in 2008. Keramika has repeatedly been included in the district, city, and regional Honor Boards. A large volume of work has been done in the field of energy saving. The commissioning of an energy technology complex based on gas engine piston units has enabled the enterprise to significantly reduce electricity costs, and consequently, increase the competitiveness of its products. The products of Vitebsk Keramika are in stable demand in the domestic market and among Russian consumers. Over the past five years, the enterprise has seriously updated its social infrastructure facilities, and the sports and recreation complex, canteen, and dormitories have been renovated.
The prospective agenda of Keramika includes the implementation of a modernization program, which provides for, among other things, the acquisition of new production equipment and the development of new types of products, in particular, porous bricks.
"The implementation of the planned plans depends on the strenuous work of each employee, and the talent, diligence, and creative potential of our people allow us to look to the future with optimism," is convinced Sergey Zhagolkin. -0-
