A draft decree on supporting the Orsha Flax Mill is planned to be prepared by June this year, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky told reporters today, BELTA correspondent reports. Sergei Sidorsky is on a working visit to the Vitebsk region and is monitoring the implementation of the President's instructions given during his visit to the Orsha Flax Mill in March this year. The Prime Minister noted that in accordance with the head of state's instructions, the government intends to pay close attention to the development of the flax industry over the next two years, including improving flax fiber cultivation technologies and establishing its own production of specialized equipment. However, the main issue remains the technical modernization of the Orsha Flax Mill. The enterprise has developed a development strategy that takes into account the best practices of manufacturers from Turkey, China, and Europe. According to preliminary estimates, the volume of investment in further re-equipment of the Orsha Flax Mill may amount to Br300 billion. -0-
