The professional club "Teacher of the Year" will unite innovative educators of the Vitebsk region

February 17, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. The professional club "Teacher of the Year" will for the first time unite innovative educators and promising young specialists from educational institutions of the Vitebsk region for experience exchange and support of creative initiatives. Lyubov Vilenchik, a methodologist of the innovation development department of the regional institute for the development of education, informed BELTA correspondent about this. The regional institute for the development of education initiated the association of specialists into an informal professional club. The main goals of creating the club are to increase the prestige of the teaching profession, organize open professional communication among colleagues, disseminate best practices and innovative developments of educators in the region, and develop the creative initiatives of specialists in the education system. In addition, according to the initiators' plan, the club's activities will be aimed at increasing the social significance of the "Teacher of the Year" competition and actively involving talented young teachers in the competition movement. It is expected that the club members will include winners and laureates of the regional and republican "Teacher of the Year" professional skill competitions, methodological workers, experienced teachers, and young specialists from all districts of the region. Within the framework of the club, it is planned to organize a laboratory for the development of pedagogical projects and didactic systems, a workshop "Symphony of a Modern Lesson," and a psychological relaxation room. In the future, it is planned to create pedagogical studios of leading teachers, organize open lessons, and a "master class parade," during which innovative teachers will present their developments and innovative work methods. Club members intend to focus on supporting both the most talented specialists and the younger generation of teachers. "Today, it is very important to help young teachers build a professional career competently, improve their skills, including by transferring innovative experience from the best representatives of the profession," noted Lyubov Vilenchik. This is precisely why a significant place in the club's work will be devoted to preparing promising young educators for participation in the "Teacher of the Year" competition. At the first organizational meeting of the club, scheduled for February 18, it is planned to elect a chairman, form a club council and its creative working groups, which will unite enthusiasts in the districts. It is possible that the club will also get a new name, more capacious and figuratively reflecting its main purpose, Lyubov Vilenchik added. -0-
