Technical inspectors from the regional and district trade union associations are monitoring the preparation for the harvest at agricultural enterprises in the Vitebsk region.
Preliminary control a month before the start of the harvest will contribute to a more thorough approach to it. Inspectors pay special attention to labor protection during repair work and the compliance of equipment to be used in the responsible agricultural campaign with safety requirements, the availability of personal protective equipment and workwear, and the organization of catering. Based on the identified violations, employers will be issued recommendations for elimination, noted Anatoly Stepanov, chief technical inspector of the regional trade union association. The final monitoring information will be sent to the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.
