Trade unions of the Vitebsk region will help in the reconstruction of the "Breakthrough" memorial complex

The Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association will join the financing of the reconstruction of the "Proryv" memorial complex in the Ushachi district, announced the chairman of the association, Ivan Vozmitel.

An off-site presidium of the regional association, with the participation of chairmen of sectoral trade unions, was held today in the Ushachi district. In addition to the meeting itself at the district executive committee, its participants visited the "Proryv" memorial complex and museum in the village of Paperino. "We assessed the condition of the facilities and made a unanimous decision to appeal to trade union members for financial support in the reconstruction of the complex. We will organize workdays to at least slightly reduce the cost of the work, and collect donations. As the chairman of the Ushachi District Executive Committee informed us, the preliminary estimated cost of reconstruction is Br24 billion. Therefore, any help will be appropriate," explained Ivan Vozmitel.

Work is already underway on the territory of the complex. It is planned to attract funds from the republican and regional budgets, as well as sponsorship. The regional committee of the BRSM also previously announced its participation in the restoration of the object.

In addition to visiting the memorial complex, the program of the off-site presidium included an introductory visit to the "Lesnye Ozera" sanatorium. The participants of the event discussed how to improve the health resort services for trade union members, as well as make recreation and treatment in Belarusian health resorts even more attractive.
