The program for re-equipping healthcare facilities in Belarus should be completed within the next two years

September 6, Ivacevichi / Alina Grishkevich - BELTA /. The program for re-equipping healthcare facilities in Belarus should be completed within the next two years. This task was set by the head of state Alexander Lukashenko today during his visit to the Ivacevichi Central District Hospital, BELTA correspondent reports. "I came not to look at the hospital, but to get acquainted with the implementation of the order for its modernization, as well as the modernization of the entire system, starting from the feldsher-midwife station, doctor's outpatient clinic, precinct, district and regional hospital, and ending with centers. Now, using Ivacevichi as an example, we will consider the situation with district hospitals," said Alexander Lukashenko. A few years ago, the situation with healthcare facilities caused many complaints, so a decision was made to optimize the healthcare structure and reconstruct medical institutions. The President noted that enough hospitals have been built in the country, and now it is only necessary to effectively use the installed equipment and provide quality medical services. At the same time, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that "it is necessary to optimize healthcare and eliminate unnecessary links." He stressed that new hospitals will not be built, there are enough of them in the country. As informed to the President by the Minister of Health Vasily Zharko, currently 106 district hospitals in the country have been put in order. -0-
