The program for the development of the Orsha district is being implemented as a whole - Roman Golovchenko

The program for the development of the Orsha district is being implemented as a whole. This assessment was given today by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko following a visit to a number of facilities in the region.

Roman Golovchenko emphasized that this program document is very extensive and includes hundreds of measures. "I wouldn't say the situation is entirely rosy. Some measures are linked to budget financing, which is characterized by its rhythm. Some involve the enterprises' own funds. In some cases, problems arise due to the general economic situation. Therefore, adjustments have to be made. But overall, the program is being implemented quite well," the Prime Minister stated. He also noted that a considerable number of facilities have already been commissioned this year. Many are planned for 2021. This in itself is indicative.

Defining the key tasks for the district in the near future, Roman Golovchenko stressed that there is one main goal. "We need to implement the planned measures. For many of them, there are adjustments because when drafting the document, some points were not specified. We need to clarify, for example, the cost, update the project. This is a dynamic process. The main thing is to have enough resources for it," he said.

The Prime Minister's working trip included visits to the infrastructure facilities of the "Bremno-Orsha" special economic zone, the Orsha Meat Canning Plant, and a meeting at the Orsha District Executive Committee.

An unplanned stop on the route was the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant. "A fairly large program is also being implemented there within the framework of the comprehensive plan. There were difficulties due to the reduction of planned resources because of contract compression. But we made a decision on it and found the money. I dropped by to make sure everything is being implemented as planned," the Prime Minister noted, referring to the visit to the plant.

Summing up his working trip, Roman Golovchenko stated that it had been quite eventful. "There are many facilities here that are under control in accordance with the President's decree, the government's program, and are generally landmark sites. Therefore, our goal today is to conduct a thorough inspection, as the deadlines for many projects are approaching," the Prime Minister added. In particular, the runway is to be commissioned by November 7. Its commercial operation is to actually begin. "I personally planned to make sure how the concept of commercializing the facility is being implemented," Roman Golovchenko concluded.
