The development program for the Vitebsk Fur Combine will be developed by the end of the half-year

April 6, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotovets - BELTA /. A program for the prospective development of RUP "Vitebsk Fur Combine", which has emerged from the rehabilitation procedure, will be developed at the enterprise by the end of the first half of the year with the support of local authorities. This was announced today to journalists by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, during a visit to the combine, according to a BELTA correspondent. To ensure efficient operation, the enterprise needs to increase the productivity of raw material processing by at least two times to 200 thousand skins per year. In this regard, the comprehensive development program should include technical re-equipment and modernization of production, solutions for raw material supply, organization of an effective sales policy, measures to involve vacant premises and real estate located on the territory of the combine into circulation. In addition, it is required to intensify work on unloading warehouse stocks, which have accumulated finished products worth about Br3.5 billion. To solve this problem, Alexander Kosinets considers it possible to involve enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership that have a distribution network in the Russian regions. According to preliminary calculations by the combine's specialists, at least Br2 billion will be required for production modernization, with a payback period of 1.5 years (provided there are sales markets). The chairman of the regional executive committee instructed to work out the possibility of cooperation between the fur combine and the shoe enterprises of Vitebsk to organize the production of leather goods for shoes. With the support of local authorities, the enterprise can solve the issues of creating a raw material base directly in the region. The territory of the combine is part of the "Vitebsk" free economic zone, which can become another effective tool for the enterprise's development. Measures to strengthen human resources, create safe and favorable working conditions for the enterprise's employees should also become an mandatory part of the combine's development program, Alexander Kosinets noted. RUP "Vitebsk Fur Combine" is part of the "Bellegprom" concern and is the only enterprise in the country producing fur products. The combine was declared bankrupt in May 2007, and rehabilitation proceedings were opened against it. The statutory maximum period for the rehabilitation of a bankrupt enterprise (30 months) expired in December 2009. According to the deputy director of the combine, Nikolai Molochko, during the rehabilitation period, the enterprise became profitable. The enterprise managed to stabilize solvency indicators and the ratio of financial obligations to own assets. In addition, the combine mainly ensures settlements of current payments. The production and sale of products increased by 2.7 times. To this end, the enterprise has created a network of branded stores in all regional centers of Belarus, as well as in Moscow. At the same time, Nikolai Molochko added, the enterprise's accounts payable amount to about Br14 billion, and the combine will not be able to restructure its operations under the conditions of lifting the restrictions imposed in connection with the enterprise's rehabilitation and aimed at protecting the debtor, without state support. -0-
