Production of bacon pigs is being created in the Tolochin district
A bacon pork production enterprise using Danish technology will be established in the Tolochin district (Vitebsk region), as reported by the local district executive committee.
The agro-enterprise with a capacity of 6 thousand tons of live weight meat per year is planned to be created near the village of Usvizh-Buk. 44 hectares have been allocated for the complex, where several pigsties, a grain drying complex, a feed mill, a boiler room, and other facilities will be erected.
Construction work at the site has already begun, and the construction is designed for 16 months. The enterprise will utilize modern technologies and genetic material from the Danish breeding program DanAvl. The idea of the investment project is to create the first agro-enterprise in the Vitebsk region for bacon pork production based on the experience of the existing foreign limited liability company "BelDan" in Belarus, which is implementing this initiative.
