The production of disposable underwear for medical institutions has been mastered in Vitebsk

Open Joint Stock Company "Trud-Vitebsk" has mastered the production of disposable underwear for medical institutions, the economics department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. In Belarus, there are virtually no large manufacturers of such products, despite their significant consumption in medical institutions. OJSC "Trud-Vitebsk" participates in the import substitution program as a manufacturer of medical products – disposable clothing and accessories. In the first quarter of the current year, import-substituted products worth $24.3 thousand were supplied to the domestic market. The production of wound dressings has been established at LLC "Galteyafarm". The company has already produced $800 thousand worth of these import-substituted products. As noted at the City Executive Committee, the city's industrial enterprises are carrying out targeted work on the technical re-equipment and modernization of production, and the development of innovative and import-substituted products. As of early May, 60 out of 84 enterprises in the city were producing innovative products. 14 enterprises, or 17% of the total number of enterprises, had a share of innovative products of 32% or more. -0-
