A pellet production facility must be established at each forestry enterprise in the Vitebsk region - I. Bambiza

Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Bambiza believes it is necessary to create an enterprise for the production of wood waste pellets in each forestry enterprise of the Vitebsk region within two years. He stated this today at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, according to a BELTA correspondent. The production of wood pellets is a profitable business, as all products are in demand abroad. One ton of this waste fuel costs about 80 euros on the European market. The technology for its production has been worked out, and in addition, it is possible to establish the production of fuel briquettes from sawdust based on it, which are also in demand in foreign markets. OAO "Vitebskdrev" plans to start producing pellets in September of this year. Similar production facilities will also appear in Gorodok, Polotsk, Surazh, and Rossony forestry enterprises in the near future. -0-
