The production of products, goods, and services in the Vitebsk region will double in 2011-2015.
November 25, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. By 2015, the Vitebsk region plans to increase the growth rate of production of goods and services to 200% compared to the 2010 level. This was stated by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets today at the regional meeting of participants of the Fourth All-Belarusian People's Assembly, BELTA correspondent reports.
Such a high growth rate will be ensured by the modernization of existing industries and the construction of new enterprises. By 2015, it is planned to create more than a thousand new enterprises in the region, including 640 in small towns.
At the same time, a significant role will be assigned to the development of innovative industries. By 2015, the share of innovative products in the total production volume will be 21%.
The volume of investments in the region's development during 2011-2015 will amount to Br42 trillion, with a growth rate of 203% over the five-year period compared to the 2010 level.
However, the main indicators of enterprises' performance will be sales profitability and labor productivity, Alexander Kosinets emphasized. This will allow the average wage to reach $1,000 in equivalent terms.
The development of human potential in the coming five-year period remains a priority for the state. It is planned that in five years, revenue from the sale of products, goods and services per capita in the region will amount to Br56.2 million. During 2011-2015, 18 schools, 21 kindergartens, and 12 polyclinics will be built in the region.
"The priority directions of our progress are the development of human potential as the main factor of state development, support for business initiative, the introduction of high-tech developments and new technologies into production, export growth, and ensuring the innovative development of the region," the governor concluded. -0-
