The Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office will check compliance with land legislation in the second half of the year

June 21, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. Compliance with land legislation in the Vitebsk region will be checked by the regional prosecutor's office in the second half of the year. This was announced today at a press conference by Deputy Prosecutor of the region Georgy Korenko, BELTA correspondent reports. "We intend to primarily check the work of the land management service at both the regional and district levels, which has been reorganized this year, in order to ultimately increase the demands for compliance with legislation in this area," he noted. This year, the regional prosecutor's office focuses on supervising the compliance with legislation by regulatory authorities. Thus, checks of structural divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, "Vitebskenergo", the regional department of the State Labor Inspectorate and the state technical supervision system have already been completed. The Deputy Prosecutor of the region stated that the largest number of violations were identified in the state technical supervision system. "State technical supervision inspectorates at both the regional and district levels are not working effectively in terms of organizing inspections of the condition of vehicles, mainly in the agro-industrial complex," Georgy Korenko noted. For example, in individual farms, up to 40% of equipment was allowed to go into the fields without passing technical inspection, and vehicles were operated without lighting devices, which is a gross violation of traffic rules. Facts of allowing individuals deprived of their driving licenses to drive, as well as without passing a medical examination, were revealed. Control over the consumption of fuel and lubricants is not properly organized. Based on the results of the inspections, acts of prosecutorial response were issued, and a significant number of responsible employees were brought to disciplinary action. Thus, following the inspection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations structures, 11 officials at the level of heads of district departments were brought to justice. -0-
