Prosecutor's offices in several cities of Belarus, including in the Vitebsk region, will be merged.

Прокуратуры в нескольких городах Беларуси, в том числе и на Витебщине, будут объединены.

Head of State Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 113 of March 4 "On improving the system of prosecutor's offices". The prosecutor's offices of Orsha District and Orsha, Polotsk District and Polotsk, Pinsk District and Pinsk, as well as Baranovichi District and Baranovichi are being merged into unified departments.

The decree also provides for the merger of district prosecutor's offices in Brest, Grodno, Vitebsk, Mogilev, and Bobruisk. The reorganization is aimed at optimizing the structure and staffing of the respective prosecutor's offices, including through the reduction of management staff, and saving budget funds.
