Industry, Science, Healthcare: Anatoly Linevich held a meeting with the asset of the Expanded Clay Aggregate Plant in Novolukoml
The main topic of the informational meeting, which was attended by the leadership of the district, the enterprise, and its structural divisions, was the country's development and its achievements in recent years. The discussion specifically focused on industrial successes. Based on last year's results, industry grew by 6.5%, which is one of the best outcomes among the EAEU countries. The development of the fuel and energy complex, agriculture, science, healthcare, and education was also discussed.
The President's Aide noted that the issue of public-private partnership is also considered during the work of republican information and propaganda groups. "The enterprise selected is private, and I wanted to learn about the team's sentiments, what they are concerned about, and their problems. Since sometimes, due to their workload, not all employees can receive the necessary information, I wanted to convey to them information about what the country is currently focused on, what achievements it has, its leading enterprises, and how science, social, and other spheres are developing. These things need to be known," noted Anatoly Linevich. He also emphasized that the country is currently developing under difficult conditions of sanctions pressure, and in such times, it is the regions that can provide support. The improvement of these territories will stimulate investors to come and build new production facilities.
In communication with the inspector for the Vitebsk region, the plant workers voiced their concerns. The enterprise management was interested in progress in creating equal conditions for business entities of Belarus and Russia, and in activating investment activities. Employees were concerned about the improvement of urban areas, the enhancement of drinking water quality, and the equipping of the local Palace of Culture for mass cultural events. "We are ready to consider any issues raised. Of course, not everything can be done at once, but each of them has been noted and will be resolved. People understand this and accept it with dignity," said Anatoly Linevich.
JSC "Novolukoml Expanded Clay Aggregate Plant" is successfully developing despite sanctions affecting the country's economy. As noted at the enterprise, this is currently the most intense period of continuous operation. All efforts are being made to minimize this impact. The ban on the export of cement-containing products to the European Union countries affected the plant's operations. However, expanded clay itself is not under sanctions, and its supplies to the EU continue. In general, export volumes for January-June amounted to 160% compared to last year. Currently, about 350 people work at the plant. The average salary exceeds Br2 thousand.
