Holding on-site receptions of citizens by high-ranking officials remains relevant - A. Konyuk

October 26, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Holding outreach receptions for citizens by high-ranking officials remains relevant. This opinion was expressed today to a BELTA correspondent by Prosecutor General of Belarus Alexander Konyuk, who was holding a reception for citizens on personal matters at SOOO "Marko" in Vitebsk. "There is a point in holding receptions, because they allow us to help people solve pressing issues," Alexander Konyuk emphasized. He noted that the result of this work is a decrease in the number of citizens' appeals. "I remember the first year when I started working, 20-30 people came, now there are significantly fewer, and the issues are not very complicated. Thus, the relevance of holding receptions by high-ranking officials remains. Moreover, not everyone can travel to Minsk to resolve their issue, so it is important for the population," he added. Ten people came to Alexander Konyuk's personal reception. At the same time, the topics of their appeals turned out to be quite broad. In particular, issues of the validity of court sentences, the legality of police actions, facts of exceeding their official powers, land and housing issues were raised. For each appeal, the Prosecutor General of Belarus provided explanations and instructed representatives of interested services and departments to take control of the resolution of these issues. At the end of the reception, he held a meeting with the staff of SOOO "Marko". -0-
