Psychologists and clergy will work at women's health clinics in Novopolotsk

The "Zarozhdenie" (Rebirth) Center for the Protection of Life and Family Values has begun the active phase of its activities in Novopolotsk, Deputy Head of the Ideological Work Department of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee Natalya Marchenko told a BELTA correspondent. The organizers of the "Zarozhdenie" center are the Polotsk Diocese and the secular authorities of Polotsk, Novopolotsk, and Polotsk District, whose main goal is to popularize family values and overcome the demographic crisis. Specialists have begun giving a course of visualized lectures on the dangers of abortion in schools for high school students and first and second-year students of secondary vocational schools. Moreover, the lectures are given not only to girls but also to boys. The next stage of the broad educational campaign aimed at promoting family values will be the placement of posters about famous people who were not the first or only child in their family. Currently, specialized rooms are being equipped at two city polyclinics with women's health clinics, where a psychologist and a clergyman will soon work with women who have decided to have an abortion. The Center for the Protection of Life and Family Values continues the activities of similar centers created in Russia and Minsk. -0-
