The initiatives developed during the working meeting in Vitebsk are proposed to form the basis of an updated cooperation agreement between the regions and a program of joint actions for 2019, and the documents can be signed in the autumn of the current year, believes the first vice-governor.
The Russian delegation, which included heads of the social bloc of the regional administration, arrived in Vitebsk with a substantial package of proposals, most of which are in one way or another related to studying the experience of Vitebsk organizations for subsequent integration into Russian practice.
According to Vera Emelyanova, Russian partners want to familiarize themselves with the practice of solving personnel issues in the healthcare system. In the educational sphere, this includes organizing work with gifted children and developing the system of additional education institutions.
For Russians, issues of improving the activities of social protection institutions, introducing new forms of social services for the population, and in particular, for elderly citizens, are relevant. Therefore, they propose to include a number of projects in this area in the plan of joint actions. In addition, several initiatives of a patriotic theme were discussed, as well as the intensification of contacts between youth organizations of the Belarusian and Russian regions.
