Residents of the Miory region raised issues of privatization and state-supported housing construction during the "Big Conversation with the President".
The family from Sloboda has four children, two of whom are minors, and the youngest has developmental disabilities. The husband and wife want to privatize their house and build an apartment in the district center. They explained the need to move from the village to the town by the fact that their youngest son needs to attend the Center for Correctional and Developmental Education and Rehabilitation, located in Miory. Currently, they live in a house owned by OAO "Gvardeyskiy." They have been trying to privatize it since 2015 but have not received permission from the management. In connection with OAO "Gvardeyskiy" being in the process of merging with OAO "Uzmionskiy Kray," the issue of housing privatization, as explained by the district executive committee, will be studied further.
Since the family had not previously applied for assistance with their problems, they were not on the waiting list for improved housing conditions. Upon the recommendation of specialists from the Department of Architecture and Construction, and Housing and Communal Services of the district executive committee, the resident of Sloboda has now applied to the Uzmiony rural executive committee to be registered on the appropriate list and is gathering the necessary documents for this.
The family raising a child with a disability will be included in the district lists for priority receipt of a one-time subsidy for the construction (reconstruction) or purchase of residential premises. A 40-apartment building is under construction in the district center this year. However, due to their difficult financial situation, the family plans to use the benefits in 2020, when the construction of another similar building is planned in the district center.
The family from the village of Pestuny, which has three children, one of whom has developmental disabilities, and the mother is a Group II visually impaired invalid, had also not approached the district executive committee and therefore was not registered as needing improved housing conditions. Based on the submitted application, the Miory rural executive committee carried out the procedure and made the appropriate decision on March 18. The villagers will build a two-room apartment in the town using state support funds.
