Working with citizens' appeals shapes people's opinion of the government and the country - Natalya Kochanova
More than 40 people signed up for the reception with the Head of the Presidential Administration.
Among them were not only residents of the Orsha region, but also visitors from Vitebsk,
Novopolotsk, and the Vitebsk and Lepel districts. "The majority of the issues
people came to the reception with should have been resolved locally. There were
cases where people were given an answer to one question, but the second one was
not considered. Interaction with citizens' appeals shapes people's opinion about
the authorities, leaders, and the country as a whole, so specialists need to
treat them more carefully and meticulously, because people's lives are behind
these problems," Natalya Kochanova noted.
According to the Head of the Presidential Administration, an employee of one of the city's enterprises approached her with an important issue. The man said that he had a personal conflict with the head of the enterprise, and the latter began to threaten him with not extending his contract, and pressure was also exerted on his wife, who works at the same place. The resident of Orsha added that his colleagues, knowing about the reception, also asked him to report the facts of the plant manager's disrespectful attitude towards them. According to the first deputy director of the enterprise, there are no claims against the employee who applied; the man has been working for 14 years without reprimands. "The authorities should be aware of the situation in the work collectives. Public organizations should also deal with this issue, and trade unions are obliged to get involved in protecting the rights of employees," emphasized the Head of the Presidential Administration. In turn, law enforcement officials reported that they had anonymously received complaints from the enterprise's employees about the disrespectful attitude of management. Natalya Kochanova instructed the leadership of the Orsha District Executive Committee to clarify the situation in the team and resolve the problem. A resident of Orsha sought help in finding employment for her disabled son. The young man is 24 years old and has worked
two years as a plumber, but now, due to medical contraindications, he cannot find work. The disabled person was promised that a vacancy that would be suitable for his health condition would be found within two weeks. Another woman from Orsha complained that she could not finish building her apartment, but not through her own fault. She concluded a contract for housing construction several years ago with the KSPO of the Orsha District Executive Committee, but the organization did not have enough money to build the apartment. The woman is knocking on the doors of various authorities, so far without success. Natalya Kochanova instructed to deal with the problem, study possible options and help the woman.Housing and land issues were raised at the reception of citizens, applicants applied regarding the work of housing and communal services, the police, as well as non-payment of alimony, employment, and road repairs.
