Polotsk Emergency Ministry rescuers saved a victim of a road accident

On June 22, around 13:00, the Operations and Dispatch Center of the Polotsk Regional Department for Emergency Situations received a report of a road traffic accident near the village of Trosno on the Polotsk-Lepel highway.

Upon arrival at the scene, the operational duty team of Fire and Rescue Unit-1 of the Polotsk Regional Department for Emergency Situations established that a car, an Audi-80, manufactured in 1984, had driven into a ditch and overturned. As a result of the accident, a female passenger, born in 1963 and residing in Novopolotsk, was trapped. The driver exited the vehicle independently and was unharmed.

EMERCOM employees, using hand tools, rescued (extricated) the passenger from the vehicle. She was handed over to an ambulance crew and hospitalized at the State Healthcare Institution "Polotsk City Hospital No. 2" with an open traumatic brain injury and a closed fracture of the left forearm.

An investigation into the road traffic accident is being conducted by employees of the traffic police department of the Polotsk District Department of Internal Affairs.
