Solving the hooligan explosion in Vitebsk was a matter of honor for law enforcement officers

Solving the hooligan explosion at the administrative building of the KGB Directorate for the Vitebsk Region was a matter of honor for law enforcement officers. This was stated today at a joint briefing by the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Igor Evseev, according to a BELTA correspondent.

Igor Evseev emphasized the promptness with which the police officers acted. The duty team arrived at the scene within 5 minutes. A service dog was used, and a cordon was set up, which helped preserve all traces and evidence. To obtain information, all persons present in the zone of the KGB Directorate building at that time were detained. Subsequently, law enforcement officers had to perform a huge amount of work in processing the railway and bus stations and studying materials from video surveillance cameras.

As a result of operational actions, a resident of Vitebsk born in 1970 was detained. On February 18, a measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen for her.

The head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee noted that no complaints or any other negative information regarding the actions of law enforcement agencies from citizens were received during the entire investigation period. "All residents of the city treated the police's work with understanding, for which we express our great gratitude to everyone," Igor Evseev emphasized.
