Developments by young employees of the Institute of Technical Acoustics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus received high praise following the VII International School "Physical Materials Science" in Togliatti.

Dmitry Bagrets, a research fellow at the ITA Laboratory of Metal Physics, became the winner of the competition for the best scientific work among youth. His colleagues, junior research fellows Sergey Legkostupov and Victoria Nepomnyashchaya, who were included in the list of winners of the 1st stage of the competition, also received good evaluations from experts for their research.

As reported by Irina Kruglova, Head of the Marketing and International Relations Department of ITA, an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation between the Institute of Technical Acoustics, Vitebsk State Technological University, and Togliatti State University was signed last year. In early February, a delegation of young Vitebsk scientists, led by Vasily Rubanik, Director of the Institute of Technical Acoustics, also took part in the XXIII Ural School of Metallographers-Thermists "Actual Problems of Physical Metallurgy of Steels and Alloys," where they showed equally commendable results.
