Rural territories must be developed comprehensively – Nikolai Sherstnev
The importance of comprehensive rural development was noted by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, today in the Orsha district during the opening ceremony of the renovated sports stadium in the urban-type settlement of Bolbasovo and the handover of keys to new housing for employees of the agricultural enterprise "Borzdovka-Agro":
– Comprehensive development of the village, working conditions, wages – this is the set of factors that will change the situation in such settlements for the better. This is precisely how they should be approached. The agro-town of Borzdovka is a vivid example that order must be established in the countryside and comfortable living conditions created for young people to come and stay. And this is being done.
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee recalled that in the Orsha district, Bolbasovo and Kopys were put in order in just a few years. Similar changes are gradually taking place in each district of the Vitebsk region. "This is a huge amount of work, but it is not scattered across individual projects, but formed as a complex. If we continue to work this way, our village will completely change in five years," – Nikolai Sherstnev is convinced.
Keys to new houses were received today by families of farm workers in need of improved housing conditions, including young specialists. Next year, such pleasant events are planned in the Verkhnedvinsk and Vitebsk districts.
The opening of the renovated "Olimp" stadium became a real pre-New Year's gift for the residents of the urban-type settlement of Bolbasovo. Capital repairs and modernization of the important sports facility, owned by the FSC "Orsha", took a year. 3 million rubles were allocated from the republican, regional, and district budgets for these purposes.
On the transformed stadium, running tracks with a special synthetic coating have been laid around the perimeter, a canopy over the stands, a workout area, and a zone with outdoor exercise equipment have been created, and equipment has been installed.temporary sound and lighting systems. The hockey rink has been updated. Now it is universal: in winter, hockey and ice skating will take place here, and in summer – mini-football. Changes have also affected the administrative building. It has undergone quality repairs of the roof, water supply and ventilation systems, and restrooms. Where necessary, elements of barrier-free environment have been equipped for the comfort of people with disabilities.
Congratulating the local residents on this significant event, Nikolai Sherstnev emphasized that local authorities are systematically fulfilling their obligations undertaken several years ago by the order of the Head of State:
– This is our principle: to enter settlements and comprehensively raise them to a new level. Look at Bolbasovo. Two years ago, we actively started improving it, and a lot has been done to help make it happen.and the residents themselves. In parallel, the issue of providing clean water and trade services was resolved. A stadium was also needed. Now it is a real center of sports with great potential.
According to the head of the region, the settlement has great prospects in the near future. "The airport will start operating seriously.rt, the "Bremіno-Orsha" special economic zone. A large number of jobs will be created, and many will want to settle and live here. Thus, Bolbasovo will grow into a large urban settlement. And this is the very near future," - is convinced Nikolai Sherstnev.
