The republican seminar of pediatricians in Vitebsk is dedicated to the implementation of the program "Children of Belarus"

The implementation of the "Children of Belarus" program for 2006-2010 will be discussed by pediatricians on September 23-24 at a republican seminar in Vitebsk, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Healthcare Department informed a BELTA correspondent. More than 100 specialists representing healthcare facilities and medical educational institutions from all regions of the republic will take part in the event. On September 23, at the Vitebsk State Medical University (VSMU), doctors will focus on issues of preventive pediatrics development and perinatal technologies at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Mother and Child". Representatives of the Minsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital and VSMU will share modern achievements and practical experience. A representative of OJSC "Bellakt" will introduce new developments in domestic food products for infants. The seminar program also includes a practical acquaintance with the material and technical base and approaches to providing care for children, using the example of healthcare facilities in the Vitebsk region. Thus, participants will visit the Vitebsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, where a pediatric department for premature infants has opened after reconstruction. On September 24, a visit to the Polotsk Central City Hospital and the "Vetraz" Regional Children's Rehabilitation and Health Center in the village of Kosteny, Postavy district, is planned, where the seminar results will be summarized. The event is organized by the Ministry of Health, the Healthcare Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and VSMU. -0-
