Registration of the 100th Newborn of 2017 held at the Civil Registry Office of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee with folk rituals and presentation of the certificate to the parents from the Chairman of the City Council of Deputies.

Thus, as explained at the solemn ceremony by the Head of the Main Department of Justice of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Sergey Konopelko, a start has been given to events dedicated to the centenary of the formation of the civil registry offices of Belarus. "Events dedicated to this date will be held throughout the country this year. In our region, they are launched by today's landmark event - the hundredth registration of a newborn at the Civil Registry Office of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee with the presentation of a specially designed certificate for the occasion. This Saturday, a similar registration will take place in Orsha, next week - in Polotsk, then - Novopolotsk. And so in every Civil Registry Office of the region," Sergey Konopelko clarified in an interview with a BELTA correspondent.

It is also planned that throughout the year, hundredth marriage registrations will be held with a special ceremony and with the participation of representatives of local authorities, as well as various events, for example, dedicated to Family Day, photo exhibitions, and other events. Meanwhile, the first ones who, by the will of fate, shared their personal happiness with the anniversary of the Civil Registry Office, was the Shavel family. Elena works in the Department of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the City Executive Committee, Andrey - in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Their firstborn Vladislav, who is studying law, will soon turn 18. Fate has finally made the parents happy with a long-awaited second child. The girl, who was born on January 23, weighing 2.86 kg and measuring 49 cm, was named Anna. "We have dreamed of this for a long time. And the fact that we became the hundredth, it must be a special sign. I think that our daughter will be lucky in life. And it is especially pleasant that so many people shared our long-awaited joy with us. You can say, the whole city, since its leadership congratulates us," Elena Shavel shared her impressions. The family was also presented with gifts from the city authorities and the city council of women.
