Raid: How are Vitebsk residents observing self-isolation?
Epidemiologist assistant Oksana Zinchenko says: "We visited our charges before lunch. We spoke with each person using the intercom or through the door, inquiring about their health. Everyone was in place, no one went out without permission. True, one Vitebsk resident reported feeling unwell and therefore called an ambulance. A follow-up check is now underway."
Pensioner Ivan Petrovich, whose wife is currently in the hospital, is not very pleased with the close monitoring. "I haven't gone anywhere and I won't. And all my tests are fine!" says the grandfather, slightly irritated. But after being explained that all this is done for his own health and safety, he calms down.
Marina Vasilyevna, on the other hand, waves joyfully from a slightly ajar window on the first floor: her isolation period ends tomorrow. Why was she forced to stay in her apartment for two weeks? A colleague fell ill at work, and precautionary measures had to be taken. Fortunately, everything turned out fine.
Nikolai Krasovsky emphasizes that updated lists of people subject to self-isolation are daily transferred to the territorial departments of internal affairs. No violations have been identified during this entire period. On a few occasions, purely technical issues arose concerning truck drivers. Information was received from the border that they had entered the country. The individuals were registered in Vitebsk, but were not at their registered addresses.
— The drivers were simply transiting through Belarus. There are no longer any such accounting problems. Our specialists are on duty at the border along with police officers – all those arriving in our country are registered. And the flow of vehicles has significantly decreased.
