Reconstruction of milking parlors in the Vitebsk region is behind schedule

According to the protocol of instructions from the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, by March 1 of the current year, the Vitebsk region's agricultural sector must ensure the commissioning of 80 milking parlors. Currently, construction work on these facilities is progressing slowly. Contractors are awaiting funding.

The number of commissioned facilities was also low last year: 27 milking parlors in reconstructed farms and 7 in newly built ones. The livestock base is being updated most actively in the Orsha and Gorodok districts, where 9 and 5 dairy farms and complexes with milking parlors have been commissioned, respectively. In general, across the region, 277 billion rubles of budget funds, 190 billion rubles of credit funds, and an additional 192 billion rubles allocated for the leasing of new equipment for farms have been utilized for the implementation of the farm construction and reconstruction program. It is difficult to say what amounts will be involved this year, as the issue is under consideration.
