September 20, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The reconstruction of the Ushachi Vegetable Drying Plant will be completed by the end of the year, the director of the enterprise, Elena Rusak, told a BELTA correspondent.
The large-scale project, aimed at reorienting the plant from the production of fruit and vegetable preserves and dried fruits and vegetables to the production of non-alcoholic beverages and mineral water, has been implemented since 2009. Of the Br5.2 billion investments planned for these purposes, Br3.4 billion have already been utilized. These funds were used to purchase a new domestic technological line with a capacity of 3 thousand bottles per hour, which allows bottling products in PET bottles with a capacity of 0.33 liters to 2 liters. The capabilities of the existing equipment are designed for the production of 500 bottles per hour and only in containers with a volume of 1.5 liters.
Currently, construction and installation work is being completed in the production areas, as well as in the utility and auxiliary premises of the enterprise. Installation of the new line is planned to begin in the former starch workshop as early as this week. Its commissioning is scheduled for late November - early December. The equipment will produce 16 types of non-alcoholic beverages and mineral water. To ensure product sales, the enterprise is preparing to implement the ISO 9001 quality management system and undergo certification for compliance with the quality standards of the Russian Federation.
The enterprise was founded in 1954. The average number of employees is 53 people. The reconstruction of the plant will increase their number by 10 people. -0-
