The reconstruction of the Ushaсhi District Hospital will be completed in the first quarter of 2018

The reconstruction of the Ushaсhi Central District Hospital (CDH) is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2018, said the chief physician of the healthcare institution, Sergey Moiseev.

The hospital complex includes three main interconnected buildings - the outpatient clinic, the inpatient department, and the food service unit. The systematic reconstruction of the hospital has been carried out for several years. During this time, the inpatient department, the outpatient clinic, and the infectious diseases department building have been renovated.

This year, the modernization of the X-ray room was completed. A major overhaul of the physical therapy department, the registry, and the passage between the outpatient clinic and the inpatient department was also carried out. Currently, the main efforts are focused on the renovation of the food service unit and the central sterilization department, which are planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2018. With the completion of these works, the reconstruction of the Ushaсhi CDH can be considered complete, the interlocutor stated. Along with this, the medical equipment base of the CDH has been significantly updated. For example, an apparatus from the Belarusian company "Adani" worth Br250 thousand was purchased for the X-ray room through the Ministry of Health.

By agreement with the humanitarian organization "Otklik", an FGDS apparatus was obtained, and negotiations are underway with the same organization to obtain a bronchoscope. ECG machines, a CTG machine for pregnancy monitoring, and other equipment have also been purchased. In addition, due to the informatization of the healthcare system of the Vitebsk region, serious attention is paid to updating computer equipment. In total, Br4.3 million was allocated from various sources of funding for the development of healthcare in the Ushaсhi district this year.
