The record for exceeding the sale price over the starting price was set at an auction in Vitebsk
December 29, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. In Vitebsk, at an auction for the sale of unused real estate, the sale price of the lot exceeded the starting price by 348 times. The record for exceeding the price (by 311 times), which lasted exactly 2 years, was broken today, Larisa Shcheglova, head of the auctions and competitions department of the regional territorial fund "Vitebskoblimushchestvo", told a BELTA correspondent.
23 buildings and structures, including a dance floor and a bathhouse with a bathing pool, of the former "Orlyonok" health resort in the Vitebsk region, as well as the right to a 50-year lease of a land plot with an area of more than 3.5 hectares, were put up for auction as a single lot. The new record holder was a Russian investor, who offered over Br875 million for the lot, with a starting price of Br2.5 million. The victory was achieved in a tense struggle: 8 participants showed interest in the real estate, and the competitors gave up only on the 56th step of the auctioneer.
According to the representative of the Russian company, the new owner plans to create a tourist and sports complex on the basis of "Orlyonok".
In total, since the beginning of the year, the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" fund has sold over 200 unused real estate objects worth over Br5.3 billion through auctions, including 151 objects sold at auctions with a starting price of one base value. -0-
