What issues did residents of the Vitebsk region raise with Sergey Levkovich during the citizen reception?
The range of issues raised by the region's residents was quite broad. These included house repairs, territory improvement, disagreement with the densification of existing residential areas, garbage collection, and much more. As Sergey Levkovich emphasized, all these issues require increased attention, and some require urgent measures, particularly in cases of roof leaks. Such as in the house on Shkolnaya Street in Liozno. Its residents, who came to the reception, reported that they had long been promised a major overhaul, which is constantly being postponed. And the problems are worsening. The apartments are damp, mold is forming, and furniture is becoming unusable. The President's Aide instructed to take this situation under control and to repair the roof before winter. At the beginning of next year, people were promised that the remaining major repair work would be completed.
A resident of a house on Tereshkova Street in Vitebsk raised several issues. The main one is a sewage leak, which they have been unable to resolve for a long time. The basement is constantly flooded. The city authorities promised to perform a hydrodynamic flushing in the near future, and if it does not work, to take other measures.
The garbage left by residents of private houses near the entrances also concerns the residents of the apartment building. These facts were recorded by surveillance cameras installed on the building. Sergey Levkovich instructed the Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection to study the video recordings and bring specific individuals to administrative responsibility.
The man also complained about storing bicycles on the stairwell and noise on the adjacent plots late at night. All issues have been recorded and are under control.
Some residents of the regional center expressed disagreement regarding densification of development and the creation of parking spaces. As Sergey Levkovich noted, in this case, it is necessary to listen to people's opinions.
– During the reception, difficult issues were also raised, such as the removal of unused vehicles. Some people complain that junk cars occupy parking spaces and create an unsightly picture, while others complain about their car being illegally towed from the yard by a tow truck. Local authorities have been given the appropriate instructions to restore order within the framework of existing legislation. The legislative framework for this exists, – explained the President's aide.
A resident of the village of Sokorovo, Beshenkovichi district, found herself in a difficult situation. The woman had been living in a house under a lease agreement for over 20 years, which, as it turned out, is privately owned. The owners demand that she vacate the premises. Sergey Levkovich instructed to carefully study this problem and help the woman either by resolving the issue in court or by finding her another place to live.
A total of 11 people signed up for a personal reception with the inspector for the Vitebsk region. Among the most complex and sensitive appeals, as Sergey Levkovich noted, are issues of human relationships, particularly between children and parents, and the return of a child removed from a dysfunctional family by child protective services.
– In such cases, it is difficult to make a decision. It is gratifying that parents want to have their children back, but the main thing is to think about the child. Therefore, I first listen to the opinion of the guardianship service, specialists who are always objective and care about the physical and moral health of children, – he commented on the woman’s appeal regarding the return of her child.
