Road repairs, help for defrauded clients, and new balconies - Vladimir Andreichenko held a reception for citizens in Dokshitsy

Issues of asphalting a settlement, returning money for unfulfilled work, and house repairs were discussed during a citizens' reception by the Chairman of the House of Representatives, Vladimir Andreichenko, at the Dokshitsy District Executive Committee.

The first to address the reception were residents of house No. 8/5 on Polevoy Street in the agro-town of Kruplevshchina. In 2014, nine balconies in the four-story building were dismantled due to their dilapidated condition. Since then, residents have been trying to get new ones installed. The design and estimate documentation was developed seven years ago, but the work has not started due to a lack of funds. This requires about Br150 thousand. Currently, balconies are being installed on houses in Begoml, so local authorities have promised to carry out similar work on the house in Kruplevshchina next year.

The reception also addressed the pressing issue of road asphalting. A resident of the village of Vetera came with this request. In the settlement, agricultural machinery damages the road, making it difficult for people to walk and cycle. Usually, potholes are filled with sand, but this is a temporary measure and does not significantly improve the situation. The Chairman of the Dokshitsy District Executive Committee, Oleg Kovalyonok, stated that there are no possibilities to completely renew the road surface, so specialists will carry out pothole repairs, but with asphalt.

Two women from Dokshitsy came with a request for help in recovering their money. In 2019, the women ordered kitchens from a private firm in the neighboring town of Glubokoe. One applicant paid a prepayment, the second paid 30% of the amount. However, the kitchens were never manufactured, and the company is currently in liquidation. Appeals to the police and prosecutor's office yielded no results. During meetings with the women, the director promises to return the money, but this has been going on for two years. Vladimir Andreichenko asked the defrauded clients to put everything down on paper and send it to him; he will discuss the situation with the Prosecutor General.

Speaking with journalists, the Speaker of the House of Representatives noted that people's questions vary, but traditionally people ask for asphalt to be laid in settlements and for major home repairs. "The most important thing is that there should be no formalism in dealing with citizens' appeals. We resolve all issues together with the local authorities, we always try to avoid various promises and actually help with the substance of the problem. In addition, during the receptions, we also resolve issues of a regional nature. Much has been done in the Dokshitsy district, especially in the social sphere, but there are also unresolved problems. Not everything is within the power of local authorities, so we combine our efforts, and then it yields results," said the Speaker of the lower house of parliament.

Today, Vladimir Andreichenko also received questions about the allocation of social housing and the closure of a pharmacy in the agro-town of Parafyanovo due to the lack of a necessary specialist. People also came with gratitude for keeping the gas station in Volkolata open.
