Rehearsal testing under new rules is taking place in the Vitebsk region
The results of the trial testing will be calculated using a new methodology, which will be implemented in 2019 to assess centralized testing.
According to the Republican Institute for Knowledge Control, as a result, the procedure will become even more open and transparent, and applicants will have the opportunity to assess their current level of preparation in comparison with other test participants.
The essence of the methodology is that each test item is assigned a primary score, which applicants will know before the centralized testing. It will depend on many indicators – the level of difficulty, the form of presentation.
During the checking of applicants' work, coefficients will be introduced, and then the final test score will be calculated. Both the primary and the final test scores, and therefore their rank, will be visible to applicants on the RIKZ website.
In addition, in a question with two or more correct answers, assessed at two primary points, one error can be made and 1 point will be awarded. There is also a right to one error in options where the answer consists of a chain of letters and numbers.
According to Alexander Suvorov, Head of the Vitebsk Regional Testing Center, no additional instructions on the new methodology for centralized testing have been received yet. According to the specialist, the current changes are not global, and in general, the RIKZ approach remains the same.
– Perhaps knowing the "weight" of the centralized testing questions in points is important for someone, but it does not change the essence of the matter, – Alexander Suvorov is confident.
The first stage of trial testing is conducted in 15 subjects in all districts of the Vitebsk region. The organizers are VSTU and PSU.
Online registration is possible on the websites of these universities. The cost of participation is 7 rubles for each subject.
