The Ministry of Emergency Situations' Republican campaign "Safety Day. Attention everyone!" starts on March 2nd

"Behaving correctly in a life-threatening situation and being able to navigate a difficult situation are important aspects of human life. In places with a large concentration of people – schools, enterprises, shopping centers, cinemas, and others – proper behavior during an evacuation becomes especially important. Therefore, in March, EMERCOM propagandists across the republic will hold the "Safety Day. Attention All!" campaign, disseminating information and explaining to people what can lead to emergencies and how to react to the "Attention All!" signal," the press service reported.

The first stage will take place from March 2 to 12 in dormitories, children's and shopping and entertainment centers, cinemas, and sports facilities. Residents of dormitories will participate in interactive preventive discussions on safety, talk about the causes of fires, and learn about actions to take upon the "Attention All!" signal, supported by thematic videos and visual aids.

There will be innovations. The first stage of the events will be based on an unusual concept – the "Find the Cause" photo project, which will not only create an atmosphere at the event venue but also serve an educational purpose.

"The idea is simple: before the event begins, a "Name the Cause" photo exhibition will be organized at the venue, which will later be used by an EMERCOM employee to discuss what could have led to the incidents depicted in the photos and how they could have been avoided. In addition, forms of interaction with the audience will include "Safety Secret," "Safety Formula," "Fire Laboratory," and the online game "Rescue Steps," the department noted.

As for places with a large concentration of people, "Safety Parks" will be organized there with interactive platforms and activation zones (an exhibition of burnt electrical appliances and household items, "SOS," "Dangers in the Apartment," "Safe Evacuation," "Rules of Behavior in a Crowd," "Evacuation Signs," "Emergency Assistance," "Dangerous Stove," "Interactive Emergency Map," "Spend Time Wisely"), as well as a check of knowledge on the procedure for actions upon the "Attention All!" signal. Not

will do without inflatable costumes with characters from the cartoon "Magic Book" to attract more public attention.

The target audience of the second stage, which will last from March 15 to 31, will be residents of rural settlements. Extensive entertainment and preventive programs will be prepared for them. Thus, participants of the republican review competition of theatrical performances on the basics of life safety 2020 will go to settlements, who will convey safe truths to the audience through art. Large-scale events "Skarbonka byaspeki" will be held with citizens in cultural centers and on open grounds. Safety festivals will be supplemented by demonstrations of experiments "Fire Laboratory", and in rural settlements, "Notification Routes" will be organized: useful information on fire safety will be transmitted through the signal loud-speaking device of fire equipment driving through the streets.

"Activists of regional (city) branches of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Rescuers-Firefighters, university and college students, representatives of the Belarusian Voluntary Fire Society, the Belarusian Red Cross Society and other interested organizations will help rescuers in conducting the campaign, so that by joining forces, they can effectively bring safety to the masses," the department added.
