Republican Festival-Competition of Children's Journalism «Start»
The festival-competition invites children and teenagers aged 8 to 18 who are not students, have publications in the media, take photographs, are authors of broadcast audio and video programs, or maintain their own blog to participate.
The following competitions will be held within the framework of the festival:
– Publication competition;
– Video and audio story competition;
– Blog competition;
– Photography competition.
To participate in the festival-competition, you need to:
1. Choose the genre of the work:
– Report from the scene;
– Interview;
– Publicistic essay (for publications in the media and blogs);
– Author's program, series of photographs (for the video and audio story competition, photo competition);
2. Choose the theme of the story:
– Traveling around Belarus;
– The place where I live;
– Looking into the future;
– What history teaches us;
– An interesting profession;
– People changing the world for the better (hero of our time).
3. Write the material or shoot (record audio) the story, take a photo report.
4. Publish the material in any media outlet by December 31, 2019.
5. Send the work to the Organizing Committee's address by January 31, 2020.
If the material has not yet been published, there is an opportunity to post it on the website mediana.by by December 31, 2019.
To do this, you need to send the printed material (marked: publication competition) to the e-mail: medianaby@yandex.by. Please be sure to indicate your last name, first name, patronymic; age; city of residence and the name of the educational institution.
REQUIREMENTS for the formatting of materials: volume not exceeding 2 printed pages (MS Word editor, 1.5 line spacing; Times New Roman font, 16 pt). Photo illustrations (1-2 pcs.) in the text are WELCOME!
Materials with spelling, punctuation, and stylistic errors will not be accepted for publication.
